MONASH: Attempted murder charges follow Chadstone fire
Detectives from the Arson and Explosives Squad have charged a woman following a house fire in Chadstone.
A 37-year-old Chadstone woman was arrested and has been charged with two counts of attempted murder.
She was remanded into custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
The charges follow an incident where emergency services were called to reports of the blaze at a two-storey address on Terrigal St about 9.40pm on Wednesday, May 21.
A 37-year-old woman and two girls, aged seven and eight at the time of the incident, were conveyed to hospital in a critical condition.
A fourth occupant, a 36-year-old man, was not home at the time of the fire.
