MELBOURNE: Southbank incident, 3 charged


Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man and two women after an alleged ramming of a police car in Southbank on August 1.
It is alleged a stolen Toyota Corolla rammed a police car in Balston St about 10.20am.
A 27-year-old Bayswater man and a 42-year-old Mount Waverley woman were arrested at a supermarket on Spencer St, Docklands, about 6pm on Monday, August 18.
Officers then attended an address in Wingate Avenue, Ascot Vale, where a 39-year-old woman was also arrested.
The 27-year-old man has been charged with aggravated intentional exposure of police officer to risk by driving and other offences.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on November 11.
The 39-year-old woman has been charged with theft of motor vehicle and bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on November 14.
The 42-year-old woman was released pending further enquires.
The officers in the police car were not seriously injured.
