KINGSTON: Tobacco store fire at Mentone
Fire Rescue Victoria responded to an incident in Como Parade, Mentone, at 5.35am on Wednesday, August 27, after a caller to Triple Zero (000) reported a structure fire.
The response was escalated with firefighters managing to contain the blaze within minutes of arrival. The store received some minor damage and smoke logging.
The incident was deemed under control at 5.44am. The fire was deemed as suspicious and the scene handed to Victoria Police.
Two appliances and eight firefighters responded to the incident.
