NORTH-EAST: Cheaper batteries powering McEwen
The Albanese Federal Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries program hit 50,000 batteries installed in homes, businesses and community groups across Australia last weekend, including 261 in communities across McEwen.
Federal Member for McEwen, Rob Mitchell said the milestone shows Australians are embracing clean energy and getting on with the job of lowering bills and emissions.
“Australians know that batteries mean cheaper, cleaner, more reliable energy. In just over two months since July 1, 50,000 batteries have been installed, that is thousands of households, small businesses and community groups taking control of their energy and bills,” Mr Mitchell said.
