MONASH: Assault at Oakleigh East
Monash Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following an assault in Oakleigh East.
Officers responded to reports of a group of males assaulting each other on Dandenong Rd about 9.20pm on Thursday (Oct. 23).
Upon arrival, officers located a 29-year-old Hallam man who was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Detectives arrested and charged an 18-year-old Dandenong man.
He was charged with:
• affray
• intentionally cause injury
• recklessly cause injury
• common law assault
• assault with weapon
He was bailed to appear before the Moorabbin Magistrates’ Court on December 8.
Detectives are continuing to make enquiries into those involved in the incident and the investigation remains ongoing.
