FRANKSTON: 34 groups share $130,000
Frankston Council has awarded 34 local not-for-profit organ-isations almost $130,000 through the 2025 Annual Community Grants, supporting services, programs, and projects.

Funded initiatives include food relief, inclusive sport, seniors’ wellbeing, arts and culture, Aboriginal social and emotional wellbeing, and support for people and their pets.
Successful grants are from $1500 to $7500.
Frankston City Councillor David Asker (pictured) said the Council was proud to recognise community leadership and keep investing where it makes the biggest difference.
“These 34 organ-isations share one united goal – to create stronger and fairer communities. This funding puts resources in the hands of locals solving local problems, today and into the future,” Cr Asker said.
Caroline Chisholm Education Foundation Executive Officer Farrah Buckland said the Foundation was deeply grateful to Frankston City Council for its generous grant.
“This funding will enable the Foundation to offer scholarships to individuals within the Frankston community who are experiencing financial hardship,” Ms Buck-land said.
“By removing the cost barrier to education, these scholarships empower recipients to pursue meaningful learning opportunities, enhance their skills, and build pathways to employment, independence, and long-term community wellbeing.”
The Council also endorsed an additional $25,000 in 2026-27 under the Local Support Package to uplift support for organisations in the ‘Safe, Respectful and Equal Communities’ category.
