MERRI-BEK: Bowman busted


Merri-Bek Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested and charged a man following a warrant in Glenroy.
Detectives received a report that on a number of occasions since August, arrows had been fired into the grounds of a school on Hilton St, Glenroy.
No one was injured by any of the sporadic volleys and it is alleged they were not targeted at any particular individual.
Detectives executed a warrant at an address in Trevannion St, Glenroy, on Thursday (Nov. 27) and arrested a 51-year-old Glenroy man.
It is alleged police found bows, arrows, ball bearings and a slingshot during the search of the property.
The man was interviewed and charged with reckless conduct endanger serious injury, discharge missile and wilful damage.
He has been bailed to appear at Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on April 15.
