MELBOURNE: Visa breaches alleged
A Sudan-born man was expected to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court last Tuesday (Feb. 24) charged with allegedly failing to comply with his visa-mandated conditions and breach of bail offences.
The Australian Federal Police charged the man, 39, after he was located in Melbourne.
It will be alleged the man breached the conditions of his Commonwealth visa by failing to maintain his device, as well as committing an indictable offence while on bail.
The man has been charged with:
• One count of failing to maintain his electronic monitoring device;
• One count of possessing cannabis; and
• One count of committing an indictable offence whilst on bail.
