OBSERVER: Next Generation
PLOS Musical Productions has a long history of presenting musicals with youth members in the casts, and now the theatre company is introducing something new and exciting for young people with a passion for musical theatre.
The Next Generation musicals will continue the tradition of presenting productions at the Frankston Arts Centre, giving young cast members the opportunity to work in a fully professional venue with all the latest technical facilities and equipment.
PLOS Musical Productions are known for the backing of live orchestras and visuals created by their scenic, costume, creative and technical crews, all of which will continue to be a feature of this new and exciting venture for the company.
January 2027 will be the launch of The Next Generation productions being presented as part of PLOS seasons.
These productions will continue the expectations of audiences and feature full scale musicals that cater for younger cast members aged 14 -24 years.
The first The Next Generation production will be presented in January 2027 and the first team to mentor and lead this exciting move for the company will be Director Brad Fischer, Musical Directors Sue Fletcher and Malcom Huddle and Choreographers Hayley Mosely and Cassie Pennicuik.
PLOS is pleased to announce that the inaugural The Next Generation show will be Grease, with auditions in August.
Further details regarding auditions for Grease in August will be available on plos.asn.au
