LATROBE VALLEY: Drugs, crash seized in Traralgon bust


Police uncovered over $30,000 worth of drugs and cash in Traralgon on Monday (Aug. 24).
Officers from Traralgon Police and Morwell Divisional Response Unit executed a search warrant at a property in Lawren-ce Grove about 9.30am.
Inside the property, officers allegedly located and seized:

  • Gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), valued at approximately $12,000.
  • More than 50 grams of amphetamine, methylam-phetamine and ketamine valued at approximately $12,000.
  • Several cartons of illicit tobacco, valued at more than $2000.
  • A small quantity of prescription medication, steroids and Viagra and
  • $4800 in cash.
    During the execution of the warrant, police will allege the man threw a bag of drugs onto the garage roof, which was witnessed by police.
    A 22-year-old Traralgon man was charged with possess a drug of dependence.
    A 32-year-old Traralgon woman was charged with:
  • traffick/possess a commercial quantity of GHB
  • traffick/possess a commercial quantity of amphetamine
  • deal property suspected proceeds of crime
  • possess illicit tobacco
  • possess prescription medication without auth-orisation
    The man was bailed to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court on February 2.
    The woman was remanded to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court on August 25.
