SOUTH GIPPSLAND: Road death at Leongatha
Police are investigating the death of a woman after three cars collided in Leongatha on Wednesday afternoon (Sep. 23).
It is understood a female driver travelling south on the Strzelecki Hwy side-swiped a second vehicle travelling north before colliding head-on with a third vehicle about 1.15pm.
The female driver died at the scene.
The female driver of the second vehicle and male driver of the third vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported by road ambulance to hospital.
The Strzelecki Hwy was blocked and vehicles were being diverted.
Bass Coast Highway Patrol officers are investigating the collision.
