MERRI-BEK: Man unresponsive at Pascoe Vale
Broadmeadows Family Violence Investigation Unit detectives charged a man after another man was located unresponsive in Pascoe Vale on Tuesday night (Sep. 29).
Officers attended a residential property on Heathcote St and found a 63-year-old man unconscious about 7.45pm.
The man was treated at the scene but died shortly after.
Another man, a 34-year-old from Pascoe Vale, was arrested nearby.
He has since been charged with non-fatal strangulation, recklessly cause injury, possess methylamphetamine and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.
He faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (Ot. 1) where he was further remanded to appear on October 16.
Detectives will prepare a report for the coroner in relation to the circumstances surrounding the death.
It is alleged the parties are known to each other.
