SOUTH-EAST: Four arrested over burglaries


Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged five people following an alleged aggravated burglary in Brighton East and pursuit that ended on the Monash Fwy. It is alleged that a Nissan Patrol and an Audi SQ5 were stolen from a property on Clonaig St about 5.30am Tuesday (Oct. 6).
The vehicles were allegedly involved in another home invasion in Hampton Park about 7.45am before fleeing.
Officers spotted the Nissan Patrol being driven erratically in Doveton about 8am, before engaging in a pursuit.
With the assistance of the Air Wing, the vehicle was followed through multiple eastern and south-eastern suburbs on the Eastlink and Monash Fwy.
Three 16-year-old boys, a 17-year-old boy, and a 19-year-old and 20-year-old man were arrested at the scene.
A 16-year-old from the Casey area has been charged with intentional aggravated exposure of emergency worker to risk by driving, reckless conduct endangering life, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, theft of motor vehicle and unlicenced driving.
Also charged were a 16-year-old from Cardinia, 6-year-old from the Whitehorse, and a 17-year-old from the Casey area.
