NORTH-WEST: Police hunt armed robbers
Police are investigating a series of armed robberies in Melbourne’s north-west.
It is understood three to four offenders, wearing ski masks and armed with weapons, attended a service station on Dohertys Rd, Truganina, just before midnight on Tuesday, July 1.
The group attempted to force entry to the store but were unsuccessful and fled empty handed.
The offenders attended another service station on Sayers Rd, Williams Landing, about 12.20am on Wednesday (July 2).
It is understood the group forced entry and stole cigarettes before fleeing.
A few minutes later, they attended a third service station on Leakes Rd, Laverton North.
The group, again armed with weapons including knives and a baseball bat, stole a pack of energy drinks and left the store.
Police were called to another armed robbery at a service station on Warrigal Rd, Bentleigh East, about 1.30am.
It is believed four offenders, armed with a baseball bat, forced entry through a door and stole cigarettes.
The offenders remain outstanding and may be travelling in a stolen grey Mercedes Benz.
No one was physically injured during the incidents.
