Police are investigating a fatal collision in Tooborac on Wednesday afternoon (July 12).
Emergency services responded to reports a truck and a car had collided on the Northern Hwy just before 12 Noon.
The semi-trailer driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the ute died at the scene.
Exact cause of the collision is being investigated and the highway north and southbound was closed for some time.
