Detectives from the Homicide Squad are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Kew.

Emergency services were called to a residence on A’Beckett St where a man was found with injuries about 10am on January 23.

The man died at the scene.

A 56-year-old Kew man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries where he remains under Police guard.

Police believe the parties involved were known to each other.

The investigation remains ongoing.
