WEST MELBOURNE: Stolen car on Bolte Bridge

Police are seeking public assistance with an investigation after a car was stolen and dumped of the Bolte Bridge in West Melbourne.
It is believed an unknown offender was driving a stolen Holden Commodore sedan north-bound on the Bolte Bridge, when he collided with another vehicle about 12.10pm on August 30.
Officers have been told the offender then pulled over near the Footscray Rd exit before fleeing from the stolen vehicle on foot, dangerously crossing into the path of vehicles travelling in both directions.
No one was injured during the incident and police recovered the vehicle a short time later.
Investigators have released CCTV footage in the hope that someone with information will come forward.
It is believed the vehicle was stolen from Shireff St in Stawell earlier that day.
