MOORABOOL: School’s 175th anniversary

The “ extraordinary milestone” of the 175th anniversary of Bacchus Marsh Primary School has been mentioned in State Parliament by Eureka MLA Michaela Settle (pictured).
“It is the oldest continuously operating state school in Victoria. Since opening its doors in 1849 with a humble single room, this school has been at the heart of Bacchus Marsh, shaping the lives of generations of local children who have gone on to make their mark in every walk of life, carrying with them the lessons and values they learned there,” Ms Settle said.
“This year’s celebration on August 2 brought the community together in a wonderful display of pride and connection, honouring the school’s rich history and its bright future.
“To all the educators past and present, thank you for your remarkable contribution to our community’s history,” Ms Settle said. The “ extraordinary milestone” of the 175th anniversary of Bacchus Marsh Primary School has been mentioned in State Parliament by Eureka MLA Michaela Settle.
