YARRA: Woman charged over wigs theft
Police have charged woman following a theft of wigs at Richmond.
The arrest comes after a woman allegedly entered the Lennox St business on 22 September around 3.30pm.
It is alleged the woman placed four wigs into her jacket and a bag and left the store, accompanied by a man waiting outside for her.
The wigs were in the reception area as they were about to be taken to hospital to be given to children with cancer.
Oficers executed a warrant at a property in Clayton South on Wednesday morning (Oct. 15) and arrested a woman.
The 45-year-old woman was interviewed and charged with theft and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.
She will appear at the Moorabbin Magistrates’ Court on October 30.
The investigation remains ongoing.
