MELBOURNE: Fleeing driver at Carlton
Melbourne Highway Patrol are appealing for a fleeing driver to come forward following a serious collision in Carlton on Thursday morning (Oct. 30).
It is understood a 2012 brown Honda Civic sedan struck a woman on Canning St about 10.20am.
Officers have been told the woman, who was riding an e-bike, was crossing at the intersection of Alexandra Pde at the time.
The rider, a 35-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The unknown driver of the Honda fled the scene in the vehicle prior to police arrival.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision remains ongoing.
Investigators are particularly keen to speak to anyone with dashcam footage of the collision.
