Audit Committee members sought by Whittlesea Council

The City of Whittlesea is seeking to appoint two highly motivated and appropriately experienced and qualified persons as independent external members to join its Audit and Risk Committee to help drive a bold and innovative service and infrastructure agenda to enhance the lives of people within the municipality.
The appointments will be for a term of up to three years with a Council option for renewal. The independent members will be selected by Council and will be compensated via payment of a set fee per meeting.
The Audit and Risk Committee is an advisory committee to Council and provides independent assurance and assistance on matters regarding financial and regulatory reporting, enterprise risk management including OHS, compliance responsibilities, audit, and internal controls effectiveness.
Expressions of interest are sought from candidates with integrity, enthusiasm, and intellectual curiosity.
Applications must demonstrate diverse and extensive experience in contributing to the governance and management of complex organisations, with strong risk (including OHS) and financial capabilities.
