Whittlesea Police have charged a man following a crash earlier this month.

It is alleged a car had been erratically overtaking a number of other vehicles along Plenty Rd on Sunday (Apr. 8)

Another car, which had been travelling along the same road, swerved to avoid a collision with the vehicle and subsequently crashed into a culvert.

The driver of the first car allegedly fled the scene.

A 32-year-old Nunawading man was arrested in Whittlesea this morning (Friday).

He has been charged with reckless conduct endangering life, driving in a manner dangerous, unsafe overtaking and leaving the scene of an accident without rendering assistance.

The man has been bailed to appear at Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court on September 12.
