MITCHELL: Shire auction on June 19
A public clearance auction of surplus plant, equipment and operational assets from Mitchell Shire Council’s Broadford and Seymour Depots will be held on Friday, June 19.
The auction is a one-off event conducted by Nutrien Ag Solutions on Mitchell Council’s behalf.
Items include plant and civil equipment, farming and agricultural machinery, minor equipment, generators, tyres, culverts and pipes, portable offices and more.
Previewing day is Friday, June12 , 10am to 2pm, at Broadford Depot, 45 Mollison St, Broadford; and Seymour Depot, 29 Halpin St, Seymour (enter off Pollard St through Chittick Park – behind the Seymour Leisure Centre).
Large items and plant equipment will be available for viewing. Smaller items may not be on display, but the full list of items can be viewed online from Friday, June 12 .

The clearance sale supports broader depot consolidation work currently underway across Mitchell Council’s operations.
“The Seymour Depot was closed earlier this year, with staff and equipment relocated to the Wallan Depot, centralising equipment and improving operational efficiency,” said a Shire representative.
“The Broadford Depot’s rear yard lease concludes in mid-July, prompting the clearance of surplus materials and assets from both sites.
“Rather than incur costs to relocate or dispose of these items, Council is offering them for public sale – supporting reuse within the community and the broader region.
“Money raised from the sale of plant and machinery will be reinvested into renewing end-of-life assets, and the continued delivery of essential maintenance and services across Mitchell Shire.
“Items not sold at auction will either be relisted online through a national auction provider or disposed of in accordance with Council’s standard disposal processes.”
