CENTRAL HIGHLANDS: Accident probe at Maryborough
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision between a car and bicycle in Maryborough on Thursday afternoon (May 28).
Emergency services were called to the collision on Timor Rd about 4.30pm.
The cyclist, a 67-year-old Mary-borough man, was treated at the scene and died.
The driver of the car, a 20-year-old woman also from the Maryborough area, stopped at the scene.
Detectives interviewed the driver who has since been released pending further investigation.
Investigators wish to speak to anyone who travelled along Timor Rd about 4.20pm who witnessed the cyclist or collision.
