HUME: Pedestrian injured at Westmeadows


A man arrested following a critical injury collision in Westmeadows last Tuesday night (June 2) has been interviewed by Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives.
Emergency services were called to reports a car had hit a pedestrian at the intersection of Rhyll Court and Toora Drive about 5.50pm.
The 61-year-old female pedestrian was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A second pedestrian was assessed by paramedics and was not injured.
The driver of the car, a 49-year-old man, was arrested on Erinbank Crescent a short time later.
He was interviewed and released pending further enquiries.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives will investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
