EAST: Extended follow by Police


Detectives have charged a teenage boy and recovered two allegedly stolen vehicles in Melbourne’s east.
Officers spotted an allegedly outstanding stolen grey BMW travelling on Williamson Rd in Doncaster about 4pm on Friday (June 26).
Police followed the vehicle along Doncaster Rd, before it continued to Tram Rd.
It is alleged the teen occupants dumped the BMW in North Balwyn before taking off in a stolen Kia.
The Kia was followed through North Balwyn, before driving through Canterbury, Kew and Hawthorn.
The Kia allegedly came to a stop inside an underground car park on Victoria St, Richmond, about 4.50pm.
With assistance from the Dog Squad a 17-year-old boy, alleged to be one of the occupants, was arrested at the scene.
During the arrest he was bitten by one of the dogs. He was taken to hospital under guard with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 15-year-old boy, also alleged to be one of the occupants of the Kia, was arrested nearby. The 15-year-old from the Yarra Ranges area was interviewed by detectives and released pending summons.
The 17-year-old from the Mornington Peninsula area remained in hospital and was remanded under police guard.
