STATEWIDE: Grantsn for Show societies


The State Government says thast it is backing agricultural and pastoral societies to help regional communities come together, support local economies and promote Victorian agriculture.
Minister Michaela Settle (pictured) announced the opening of applications for this year’s Agricultural and Pastoral Society Grants Program.
The grants provide successful applicants with up to $10,000.
This can be used to upgrade or build new facilities for community use and showcase project delivery that celebrates Victoria’s agricultural communities, industries and produce.
Victoria is home to more than 100 Agricultural and Pastoral Societies, which play an important role in regional communities by hosting shows, field days and events that celebrate local agriculture.
The program continues to support this work, with 40 societies receiving funding in 2025–26.
More than $50 billion has been delivered through the Government over the past decade.
Applications for the Agricultural and Pastoral Society 2026-27 Grants Program are now open.
Ms Settle said: “These grants will help societies upgrade their facilities and deliver projects that ensure our agricultural communities can continue to promote their work and bring communities together.”
