MILDURA: Driver blew .169 at Merbein, say Police
A male driver has lost his licence after being caught more than three times over the limit at the scene of a crash in Merbein on Friday night (Aug. 7).
It is alleged that a Mazda 3 sedan was driving erratically before it crashed into the gate and wall of a business on Smith St about 10pm.
Mildura Highway Patrol officers responded and located the damaged vehicle.
The male driver blew a positive preliminary breath test.
The 36-year-old returned an alleged evidentiary reading of .169.
Police will allege he was also involved in a crash into a business on Game St.
The Merbein man was issued an immediate driving ban and is expected to be charged on summons with driving offences.
