OBSERVER: Nosebleeds
Nosebleeds is an indulgent mix of absurd situations and scenarios with extreme and ridiculous characters.
Holly Bohmer, Mario Hannah and Taylor Griffiths play multiple characters with associated voices and actions, by simply changing a hat or cape or scarf.
A séance is where the show begins and ends but in between, we come across the best of gothic nonsense; werewolves, Edwardian governesses, the Titanic and even fundamentalist Christians.
Each and every time the genre is distorted and corrupted leaving the audience wondering where things will head next. Lanterns, smoke and the ubiquitous doorway allow for a change of atmosphere or focus.
This was fundamentally a trio having fun with the characters they created and the perverting of expectation.
Blood and raspberry jam will never be the same again.
Until October 18 at the Improv Conspiracy, 1/19 Meyers Pl., Melbourne
