Thursday, September 27, 2018
The Local Paper understands that Victorian Minister for Regional Development will make major announcements at Kinglake and Eildon in the coming week, in the lead-up to the November 24 State Election.
Ms Pulford is expected to be at Kinglake on Thursday (Oct. 4), and at Eildon on Friday (Oct. 5) in a two-day visit to the Murrindindi municipality. Ms Pulford has relatives at Toolangi.
The Murrindindi Council, under the leadership of CEO Craig Lloyd, has been active in advocacy for State and Federal Government funding for local projects.
There has been agitation for the undergrounding of electricity supply at Eildon. The Council has also been keen to see financial support for the Kinglake industrial area, as well as assistance for health and wellbeing projects in the lead-up to the 10th anniversary of the 2009 Black Saturday fires.
