Brennan snubs candidates’ meeting
Tuesday, November 20, 2018
Labor candidate for Eildon, Sally Brennan, failed to appear at the candidates’ evening at Kinglake tonight (Tues.)
In a statement read to the meeting, Ms Brennan blamed “considerable pressures” for not attending the event, which was addressed by the other three candidates – Michelle Dunscombe (Ind.), Ken Deacon (Greens), and Cindy McLeish (Liberals).
UGFM Radio host Peter Rice said it was “unfortunate” that Ms Brennan was unable to be present at the Kinglake meeting, or the previous week’s meeting at Alexandra. Ms Brennan explained, in a prepared statement read by UGFM President Peter Weeks, that bronchitis had prevented her attendance in the previous week.
Ms Brennan was also unable to attend a candidates’ meeting at Mansfield.
Instead of answering questions ‘live’ as the other candidates did on , Ms Brennan invited questions to be sent to her by email or her website address.
