Awards at Alexandra District Health AGM
Sunday, December 9, 2018
The Alexandra District Health Annual General Meeting was held on Thursday, November 22, at the Alexandra Golf Club.
Moira Kelly of the Children First Foundation was this year’s guest speaker. Moira shared stories about her work with children and their families from developing countries and her work in bringing them to Australia for life changing surgery. Many remember Trishna and Krishna, conjoined twins, who were separated successfully at the Royal Children’s Hospital in 2009.
Moira’s story was inspirational, touching many of the 66 attendees. Moira Kelly volunteered her time on the night, she wanted to give back to a community who she felt had given so much to her when she resided on a farm in Kilmore.
ADH also presented its staff service awards where a number of staff and Visiting Medical Officers received awards for their continued service to the health service.
