The Herald Sun reports: “A man has died after he was stabbed in Melbourne’s northeast.

“A police spokeswoman said the man, aged in his 30s, died shortly after the incident, which occurred at a house on Ramez St, Mernda at 5pm today.

“She said a woman was assisting police with their inquiries.

“Homicide Squad detectives are on the way to the scene.

“A police spokeswoman earlier said the victim and his attacker were known to each other.

“Paramedics were also at the scene,” writes Herald Sun journalist Chanel Kinniburgh.
