UPDATED. FRANKSTON: Stolen goods, worth millions, discovered at Seaford. Man charged.
UPDATE: A 53-year-old Seaford man was charged with possess handgun, traffick methylamphetamine, possess methylamphetamine, traffick cannabis, possess cannabis, handle stolen goods and two counts of possess prohibited weapon, allegedly pertaining to a taser and an extendable baton. The man was bailed to appear before Frankston Magistrates’ Court on April 14.
EARLIER: Greater Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives have uncovered a virtual Aladdin’s Cave of stolen goods behind a secret door in Seaford.
A search warrant was executed at a business premises on Austin Rd just after 7pm on Monday (Mar. 10) where police found a hidden door behind a row of lockers.
A large quantity of cigarettes, tobacco, vapes and drugs, estimated to be worth millions of dollars, were located at the addresses along with two firearms and multiple prohibited weapons.
The find came after an earlier warrant at a nearby address in relation to cigarettes stolen from a service station in Noble Park North on March 3.
At this stage, no arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
