Yea Cancer Charity success at Killingworth Hill

From the minute the guests stepped foot in to the incomparable Killingworth Hill Whisky Bar, the ‘bar’ was set.

The Yea Community Cancer Charity (formerly the Pink Ball Foundation) inaugural event was a stunning success with the community rallying to support a cause that impacts each of us either directly or indirectly.

The Charity, headed up by tireless president Simone Sier, and supported by Sally Pollard and Julie Fishlock, has replaced the original ‘Pink Ball Foundation’ and plans to continue raising funds for local community members diagnosed with cancer, providing a one off payment to assist with initial costs and hope to continue support for hardship cases through-out treatment.

The luncheon, dedicated to the memory of Gayle (Stormy) Branch, was the perfect opportunity for the ladies, and gentlemen, to flash a bit of pink for Breast Cancer awareness month.

“We are an inclusive charity. Breast Cancer is only one type of Cancer to affect our community and all Cancers will be acknowledged through-out our events.”

The Charity can be contacted on email: yeacancercharity@gmail.com or soon via Facebook ‘Yea Community Cancer Charity’ (page pending)
