PORT PHILLIP: Secrurity breach at Albert Park
Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for information to identify a third man who allegedly impersonated security at a major event in Albert Park last month.
It is alleged the group impersonated security guards to attend the event at Albert Park on Sunday, March 16.
Videos were also shared on social media of them allegedly accessing areas which were off-limits to members of the public.
Detectives have released an image of a man they wish to speak to who they believe can assist with their enquiries.
Police have already arrested and charged two men following the alleged security breaches at the event.
An 18-year-old South Melbourne man and an 18-year-old Albert Park man were interviewed by detectives on Wednesday, March 26.
They have both been charged with several offences under both the Crimes Act and the Major Events Act.
The South Melbourne man has been charged with 10 offences, including obtain financial advantage by deception, make false document and trespass.
The Albert Park man has been charged with seven offences, including obtain financial advantage by deception, make false document and trespass.
The two men were bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on June 13..
