The Maroondah Hwy between Healesville and Narbethong is closed.

The Department of Transport issued this statement at 12 Noon, Friday (Oct. 25):

“The Maroondah Highway is closed between Healesville and Narbethong, through the ‘Black Spur’, due to a collision.

“Motorists should avoid the area and use the Melba and Goulburn Valley highways through Yea and Alexandra.

“This is a significant detour that could add more than an hour to the journey. Drivers should plan ahead to allow extra time.

“Emergency services are on site. The road will re-open when it is deemed safe to do so.

“The Department of Transport thanks drivers for their patience during these important works.”
