CASEY: Public banned from Council meeting

The public will be banned from attending the April meeting of Casey Council on Tuesday (Apr. 15). They will be able to view the meeting online.

“This decision is based on a range of factors, including a commitment to ensuring a safe and orderly Council Meeting,” said a City of Casey representative.

“We’re now working on the appropriate processes and measures to support a smooth and respectful return to the chamber in May.

“Like other local councils in Victoria, the City of Casey has experienced challenges from fringe conspiracy groups. We have been in discussions with other councils, which have helped inform the steps we will take to prepare for in-person Council Meetings from May onwards,” the representative said.
