League analyses past decade of footy, netball

Yea Football-Netball Club came off worst of all 27 teams in the AFL Outer East, in an analysis of football ladder results over the 2010-2019 decade.
The League compared the match performances of all football teams in its Premier League, Division One and Division Two competitions. Those teams that sang their club songs most after matches were rankled highest.
The Yea Tigers, from its 171 games played over the 10 years, had a win ratio of just 22 per cent. The yellow-and-black won 38 games, lost 132 matches and drew one.
Kinglake was best performing Murrindindi Shire team, ranked 19 on the ladder, with a win ratio of 42 per cent, from its 178 games, winning 75, losing 100, and drawing three games.
Alexandra was next ranked, at position 20, with an identical 42 per cent win ratio, for 73 wins in its 173 game tally, with 99 losses and one draw.
Thornton-Eildon pipped the Tigers, ranked 26, with 30 wins over its 120 games, 90 losses and no draws. It won one-in-four games (25 per cent).
New team Broadford, which enters the Division 2 competition in 2020, was ranked third bottom, based on its 172 matches elsewhere. It had a 29 per cent success rate over the decade.
