The Eltham Men’s Shed is officially open.

Eltham MLA Vicki Ward (pictured) told the Legislative Assembly last week that thanks to a $60,000 grant from the State Government, a lease of the former kindergarten at Wattletree Rd from Nillumbik council and the dogged fundraising efforts of the men, they now have a fantastic complex.

Thanks were expressed to the Rotary Club of Eltham, NHP Electrical and the Judge Book Residents Association.

Ms Ward recognised Allan Field, Michael Englefield from Eltham Rotary; staff at Nillumbik—Jake Harts from building and engineering; Carl Apted, who provided engineering design services; Peter Thompson; and Jock McNiesh.
