Police want to speak with this woman

Police are investigating an attempted theft of motor vehicle in Essendon Fields last month.

Investigators believe three unknown offenders entered Wirraway Rd in a stolen white Nissan Navara at about 4pm on July 12.

The group exited the car before approaching a black and orange KTM Roadster motorcycle parked near Hangar 7.

Two males attempted to ignite the engine with tools while a female watched on.

A nearby passer-by observed the incident and all three offenders fled before driving away in the stolen car.

Police have released an image of a female who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The female is described as being approximately 165cm tall, with a slim build and dark brown hair.

She was wearing a black Adidas jumper with yellow stripes, black tracksuit pants, and was carrying a black jacket.
