MELTON: Home invasion at Harkness
Brimbank Divisional Response Unit officers are investigating a home invasion in Harkness.
It is understood that 11 unknown offenders attended a property on Claret Ash Boulevard in three stolen vehicles about 3.25am on March 30.
The offenders used a number of weapons to smash through windows and doors at the property. Once inside, they caused significant damage throughout the house.
The homeowners were not inside the house at the time of the incident.
The offendersare described as youths wearing gloves, masks, black clothing and carrying machetes, shovels, poles, metal bars and bats.
The stolen vehicles have since been recovered by police.
