Monday, January 10, 2022
A $108,000 bull has vanished from a farm at Murrindindi, reports The Weekly Times.
“Police are investigating the disappearance of the bull from the Kelly Angus stud near Yea,” reports journalisty Fiona Myers. “The Weekly Times understands the bull — one of the most expensive in Australia — was reported missing late last week and a helicopter have been brought in to search for it.
“The bull, Texas Powerplay P613, was purchased by Kelly Angus in syndication for $108,000 at the Texas Angus stud sale at Warialda in northern NSW in July 2020. At the time it was one of the biggest prices ever paid for an Angus bull in Australia.
“A Victoria Police spokesman confirmed Kelly Angus had reported the bull missing and investigations were continuing,” The Weekly Times said.
