Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing Tullamarine woman, Shelly.

The 54-year-old was reported missing by a family member on Tuesday (Oct. 18); however she has not had contact with family since December last year.

Shelly is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 146cm tall, with brown shoulder-length straight hair, fair skin and blue eyes.

Police and family have concerns for her welfare due to the amount of time she has been missing.

An image of Shelly has been released in the hope someone can provide information on her current whereabouts.

Anyone who sights Shelly is urged to call Triple-Zero (000) or Broadmeadows Police Station on 9302 8222.
