Police are appealing for public assistance after a pedestrian was stuck by a car in Frankston on Saturday night (Nov. 12).

Emergency services were called to Frankston-Cranbourne Rd near Beach St about 6.45pm.

It isunderstood a pedestrian was crossing Frankston-Cranbourne Rd when they were struck by a white utility travelling westbound.

A man was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene to assist.

Exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be established and the investigation is ongoing.
