Awards at Alexandra District Health AGM

The Alexandra District Health Annual General Meeting was held on Thursday, November 22, at the Alexandra Golf Club. Moira Kelly of the Children First Foundation was this year’s guest speaker. Murrindindi’s recycled Christmas tree

Murrindindi Shire Council’s Resource Recovery Centre operators Janet Layfield, Roger Scorah and Dimii Kontos salvaged a discarded Christmas tree from the Alexandra Scrap Shack. $3000 in vouchers to local veterans

A total of $3000 in vouchers is being distributed this month to local veterans, Yea-Kinglake RSL Sub-Branch has announced. Yea-Kinglake RSL Appeals Manager, Sam Murauer, thanked the community for their support to the recent RSL Poppy Appeal and Remembrance Day Commemorations. “The 2018 Poppy Appeal raised over $4700 from the Yea, Flowerdale and Kinglake districts.

‘Kinglake Village’ plans disclosed

A CONSORTIUM of companies has been formed to construct ‘Kinglake Village’ by late 2020. ‘Kinglake Village’ is being described by developers Roscorp as “an architecturally-designed community hub. It is planned to include “premium local dining, artist-friendly atelier spaces, commercial space for local businesses to lease and a place where small business mingles with well-known retailers”.
