6.30am Thurs.: Power co. on the way

An electricity company crew is on its way to Alexandra to attend to a situation where power lines are reportedly touching. The crew is expected to arrive at the Maroondah Hwy, Wharegarwen, scene by 7.20am. The scene is apparently between Grannies Lane and Whanregarwen Rd. Whanregarwen CFA volunteers are on the scene.

Fire at Christmas Hills

7.35pm Wednesday.  A building fire has been reported at Simpson Rd,  Christmas Hills. Five units are attending the scene.

Victoria heat warning

Authorities are providing an update on heat health alerts and the increased fire risk in Victoria over the next few days.

4.30am: False alarm at Seymour

Emergency volunteers have attended a report of a small building fire near the corner of Albert St and Victoria St, Seymour. Seymour CFA reported that it was a false alarm, with no obvious fire or smoke.

Serious crash at Yarrambat

Emergency Victoria advises a motor vehicle accident on the corner of Ironbark Rd and Black Gully Rd, Yarrambat, north of Diamond Creek. There may be one or more people trapped. More details to come.

Scrub fire at Flowerdale

A grass and scrub fire at Silver Creek Rd, Flowerdale, this afternoon (Sunday) is now under control. The fire was reported at about 3.30pm, after smoke was reported by a fire tower observer.
