Police and emergency services are currently on scene of a fatal house fire in Mill Park. Investigators believe the fire broke out in the Maybury Drive property just before 5am. The yet to be identified victim, and sole occupant of the property died at the scene. The exact cause is yet to be determined and

SUNDAY UPDATE A 20-year-old man has died in hospital after the car he was travelling in struck a tree near Mansfield on Friday night. The Whittlesea Review reports this afternoon that the Bomb Squad are present on a rural property (Towts Rd) near Whittlesea. “Police have sectioned off the area and there is no risk to the public. It is believed there is a suspicious device placed in a residential letterbox,” The Review reports.
