Emergency units are rushing to a fire reported at Diamond Creek, according to Emergency Victoria. The small fire appears to be near Sawpit Gully, on the Main Hurstbridge Rd, near Sawpit Gully.

Motorists report that the Maroondah Hwy has now re-opened between Healesville and Narebthong, after an incident earlier this afternoon (Sunday).

The Maroondah Highway is closed between Healesville and Narbethong, through the ‘Black Spur’ due to emergency works.  Motorists should avoid the area and use the Melba and Goulburn Valley highways through Yea and Alexandra. This is a significant detour that could add more than an hour to the journey. Drivers should plan ahead to allow
