Len Jinnette, 95, was the recipient of an Australia Day honour from Banyule City Council on Saturday (Jan. 26). The former Chief Executive Officer of Murrindindi Shire Council, Margaret Abbey, was today (Sat.) listed as an Australia Day recipient of the Public Service Medal. The citation reads: “For outstanding public service to local government, and through contributions to the communities of the Murrindindi Shire through the period of recovery after the 2009 Victorian Bushfires.”
