The former Chief Executive Officer of Murrindindi Shire Council, Margaret Abbey, was today (Sat.) listed as an Australia Day recipient of the Public Service Medal. The citation reads: “For outstanding public service to local government, and through contributions to the communities of the Murrindindi Shire through the period of recovery after the 2009 Victorian Bushfires.”
